Vik Schroeder’s illusions and pictorial feelings
Vik Schroeder’s colours are intentionally planned on underlayers, they penetrate in a piercing way into surfaces and move irresistibly forward to succeed in their supremacy and in their almost volcanic strength. In this way, they form double-edged flux of colour by provoking an extreme presence.
The image’s dynamic feeling and game of colours ,which is sometimes in watermark, almost perfectly complete themselves and the spectator should have to have a lot of imagination to face this sight.
But this is her gift : some of her works are hard , some other are soft and one wonders why these clear differences come to light.
Vik devotes herself to painting by acrylic, oil and gouache too. She puts these materials on canvas in professional and exceptionally sure way.
But she still desires bringing much more energy, strength, life, balance and charisma in her works : she never stop…!
With her expressive art she tells something special, she wants to highlight her personal emotion on image and wants this emotion comes to spectator.
Her paints, in line with her composition and her inner fire, are inimitably lively.
The spectator’s contemplative look looses itself in a Work’s presumed virtual core. Further she aligns herself on every colour, every line, every sequence by creating her individual space where the whole work is a convincing unit again.
Form, colour, weave and space do not want to be read in a linear way anymore. They are so strictly connected to give this new creative dimension, the one meant by the artist.
This is what gives charm to her Works : internal rapture towards outside although she well knows what she does. She tries to design and create a new reality.
Her creative illusions differently understand existance and reality together with one’ sensory feelings.
Her love for painting has many sides, in which she has developed amazing techniques and abilities.
It is complicated and versatile and represents Italian landscapes too. She then tests herself in a more abstract, casual and versatile painting always attracted by colour in an image declaration which does not reveal immediately – but this is often the desired effect of abstract works of art where you only see what you know or remember, in difficulties by dealing with our “ illusions of images”.
Therefore, Vik considers important to indulge in these meanings that we first obtain by an abstraction to take then on what we see.
Her painting is an inspiratory and complicated process. Development of her pictures is transmitted by permanent changes. They intuitively evolve during the pictorial process.
The latter is characterized by a continual planning with colours, lines, structures and several materials.
There are often multilayer structures. They mirror her mood and her sensations.
They give character to her pictures.
